How Cloud Works

	How Cloud Works

Understanding the fundamentals of cloud is quite simple...
You don't need physical servers or product boxes;
everything is digital.

cloud

Cloud computing is the term describing delivery of computing as a service rather than a product. Shared resources, software and information are provided to computers and other devices as a metered service over a network (typically the internet).

Computing clouds provide computation, software, data access and storage resources without requiring cloud users to know the location and other details of the computing infrastructure itself. In fact, if you are looking to disconnect your business from infrastructure concerns, the cloud may be a good way for you to achieve this objective.

End users access cloud-based applications or services through a web browser or a lightweight desktop or mobile app (often referred to as a Client) while the business software and data are stored on servers at a remote location (off-site or off-premise). Cloud application providers strive to give the same or better service and performance as if the software programs were installed locally on end-user computers.

At the foundation of cloud computing is the broader concept of infrastructure convergence (or Converged Infrastructure) and Shared Services. This type of environment allows businesses to get their applications and other services (phone, storage, content management, disaster recovery, etc.) up and running faster, with significantly reduced up-front costs, easier manageability and less maintenance. Cloud services enable IT to more rapidly adjust IT resources (such as applications, servers, storage and networking) to meet fluctuating and unpredictable business demand.
